It still lends itself to bulk use and filling large tanks/chambers due to its overall size. Due to the shape of Bio-Plas volume its still one of the most effective media on the market, this is down to its cylindrical whole body that protects the Biological matter that builds up inside making for an extremely good biological filter, the perforated body ensures a constant/even flow of water through each piece of media making for a healthy Biological filter

How it works
Bio-Plus Filtration Media works by providing a perfect place for a delicate eco-system to develop. Bio-Plas Filtration Media provides a large surface area for the bacteria involved in the nitrification process to grow. It is this process which removes harmful ammonia and nitrite from the water
